Business Analyst

Description

The Code Dog Technology Group Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for analyzing the business needs for projects supporting our partner clients. The BA works with the Product Development team to build product enhancements that are highly tailored to our partners’ needs. This position is located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The team is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Boston, Massachusetts.

The BA is involved in all stages of the delivery lifecycle project. This includes communicating and gathering requirements from all stakeholders and understanding their pain points to help define the right vision of the deliverable. The BA will work with a solutions architect to translate stakeholders’ functional and nonfunctional business requirements into technical requirements. The BA is also responsible for defining acceptance criteria and working with partners to define user acceptance tests cases.

Responsibilities

Observing and interviewing stakeholders to identify existing processes and writing the associated user stories using the INVEST or MoSCoW principles
Creation and delivery of the business requirement documents (BRD)
Working very closely with the Application Development Team throughout the entire SDLC to explain the business details and needs
Writing User Acceptance Test Cases
Maintain documentation describing business behavior

Qualifications

Fluent in Spanish(Native) and English
5+ years of experience
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Degree in business, computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience
An understanding of the cloud computing business model
Experience working with the public sector
Strong ability to dive deep and document requirements
Strong analytical skills
Strong consultative skills
Detail oriented
Familiar with Agile Framework (Scrum)
Knowledgeable with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Slack, Balsamiq, Draw.io, Miro, MS Office
Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and maintain a positive attitude
Must be able to thrive in a Fun, fast-paced, high-energy environment
